Maher Azeez

Maher Mohammad Ali Azeez, a Calligrapher and Visual artist, was born in Mosul, Iraq, in 1958. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Mosul. Throughout his career, Maher Azeez has made significant contributions to the world of calligraphy and art.

He worked as a professor at the Institute of Fine Arts, specializing in Calligraphy and Drawing. Maher Azeez is a proud member of various esteemed artistic associations, including the Iraqi Calligraphers Association (General Center - Baghdad) and the Iraqi Calligraphers Association (Ninive Chapter). He is also affiliated with the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association and the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, both in Baghdad and Ninive.

Beyond Iraq, Maher Azeez's talent has been recognized on the international stage. He participated in an international aeronautics competition in Brussels, Belgium, and exhibited his work in numerous art galleries across Brussels. 

Throughout his illustrious career, Maher Azeez has earned numerous certificates of appreciation and recognition, both locally and internationally, for his outstanding contributions to the world of calligraphy and art. His dedication to preserving and advancing the art of Arabic calligraphy has left an indelible mark on the global artistic community.
